What kind of computer do I need in order to listen or watch?
Can I listen on my Android, iPhone, Blackberry or Windows Mobile device?
Some mobile devices are able to stream using their built in media player; others require the use of a 3rd party app. Many stations also have their own Android/iPhone apps available. Here is a list of apps we recomment:
- TuneIn Radio – Android, iPhone, Blackberry & Windows Mobile
- XiiaLive – Android
- A Online Radio – Android
Visit our Mobile Support Page for additional information.
The player status message says ‘stopped’?
This could indicate a few possible problems listed below:
- The station is down and not sending a stream to our network
- There may be an Internet routing problem in your area
- There may be a firewall at your home of office blocking the stream
I am getting an error “Plug-in could not be found”?
Please make sure you have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight player.
The stream keeps buffering
A stream will buffer when there is not enough available bandwidth to receive the stream data. This is usually caused by Internet congestion within your area.
The status bar shows the stream playing, but I hear no sound
This may indicate that the station is sending ‘dead’ air. Otherwise, please check to see that your speakers are not muted and that the volume is turned up.
Other Resources for Help
Important Information: Even if you have tried all these troubleshooting measures, it is still possible that there is a local network issue that creates connection problems for you while others can listen perfectly. The company you obtain your Internet signal from could have installed a new piece of equipment, implemented a firewall, or a router could be updating its IP table and it takes up to 24 hours to complete. Check with your Internet Service Provider or local computer technician for additional information about your streaming trouble.
